The result of a successful collaboration between master angler Gábor Döme and the Japanese hook manufacturer Gamakatsu.
The Pellet Carp is a reinforced version of the 2260B. It is a basic hook that belongs in almost every feeder angler's tackle box. It is recommended for anglers who prefer to keep things simple and want a reliable hook they can tie to a feeder rig and use to catch almost anything. This model fits the bill. One of the main reasons the original series became so popular is that, despite its small size, it is exceptionally strong, holds its point well and has a very robust build.
The main difference in the updated Pellet Carp version is the eyed design. Why replace the spade end with an eye? Because it makes a knotless knot much easier to tie. Many anglers now favour hair-rigged baits, and this lightweight, highly effective hook is one of the best choices for delicate carp fishing with pierced baits. With a spade end, however, it can be difficult to tie it so that the hair is exactly the right length.
