1. Insert a 9 V battery into the rear compartment of the transmitter, observing the correct polarity. If the device does not produce light or sound signals, check the position of the V button.
2. Volume control: Turn the V dial to adjust the volume manually. Turning it counter-clockwise reduces the volume; turning it until it clicks switches the device off.
3. Tone adjustment: Turn the T dial to adjust the tone manually.
