The special feature of these bearings is the addition of carbon to acid-resistant steel, improving its properties. The resulting material is harder, more wear-resistant and more corrosion-resistant than conventional steel. Five of these specialist bearings are fitted at the most important points.
When turned, it spins so smoothly that it seems almost unstoppable. These bearings particularly benefit anglers who use their reels frequently; testing showed no measurable wear or looseness in the bearings.
