A new model in the Gotama series, a multiple winner in long-distance casting championships!
As carbon-fabric technology continues to advance, the time has come to update one of our most successful models using the latest materials. We combined Toray 1100 carbon with MX40 carbon fabric to create a new blank even better suited to long-distance casting.
The guide layout has also been revised, using the configuration proven most effective in testing. The new model is fitted with SEAGUIDE KW guides, already proven on many long-casting rods. Their titanium frames are designed to help make casts of 200 metres a reality.
The quivertips also come in a new configuration: they are stronger than those in the previous series, and one of the 4 oz tips is supplied in a shorter version, as this size makes casting heavier weights more effective.
The quivertip guide sizes have also been increased, allowing the shock leader to pass through more easily during a cast.
The tip guide is a three-legged, anti-tangle design that prevents the line from wrapping around the rod.
At the 2024 long-distance casting championship, the new model achieved a verified distance of 200 metres!
