Only the highest-quality products are suitable for catfish fishing!
Every component of the tackle must be perfect, and the main line is no exception. Alongside proven braided lines, more anglers are using monofilament as their main line for catfish. Its slightly translucent dark-green colour blends into most types of water and is virtually invisible.
This line is available in diameters from 0.50 to 0.80 mm, covering a range of catfish methods including bottom fishing, clonk fishing and float fishing. It is also excellent for making ready-tied hooklengths.
Its high breaking strain, abrasion resistance and knot strength make it suitable for targeting specimen fish.
Compared with braided line, its greatest advantage is its lower susceptibility to damage, making it suitable for fishing in very snaggy areas with submerged trees.
