Three-button electronic bite alarm.
Built-in battery indicator, 20-second bite afterglow and a range of 150–300 m. The set is supplied in a plastic carry case.
1. Switching on/off: Insert 9 V batteries into the transmitter units, observing the correct polarity. Slide the on/off switch on the bottom of each alarm to check that it is ready for use. Insert a battery into the receiver as well, then use the on/off button on top to operate it. (After switching off, the LEDs remain lit for a few seconds.)
2. V button / Volume control: Turn the V button to select one of four volume levels. The sound gets louder when turned clockwise.
3. T button / Tone control: Turn the T button to select one of four tones. The pitch rises when turned clockwise.
4. S button / Sensitivity control: Turn the S button to select one of four sensitivity levels. Turn it counterclockwise to increase sensitivity.
5. Programming: The receiver is factory-paired with the transmitters.
6. Range: 150–300 m, depending on obstacles and terrain.
7. Bite indication: The LED on the alarm attached to the rod that receives a bite lights up. The receiver's LED of the corresponding colour lights up at the same time. (The bite indication remains on for 20 seconds.)
Battery indicator: If an alarm's LED repeatedly flashes, the battery charge is low.
Re-pairing: To pair the transmitters and receiver on a different channel, follow these steps. All bite alarms must be switched off. Switch on the receiver, then press the programming-reset button above the battery compartment on the back. The green LED on the receiver should flash. Switch on the bite alarm with the green LED; the receiver's green LED lights up to confirm successful pairing. The LED then goes out, and the paired alarm must be switched off immediately. Press the reset button again; the next LED (yellow) lights up, and the yellow alarm can then be switched on. Repeat for each alarm individually, ensuring that only one alarm is switched on during pairing. Each alarm must be paired within 17 seconds; otherwise the radio signal will stop and you will need to press the reset button again.
Maintenance: Always remove the batteries after use and store the set without batteries installed. The set is water-resistant. If water nevertheless reaches the internal electronics and the alarm starts glowing or beeping continuously, remove the batteries and leave the alarm to dry with its back cover open.
