This new rod range is a true river-fishing workhorse! Compared with conventional river feeder rods, it has a much stiffer blank, making it possible to play very large fish.
It was designed so that landing larger fish encountered while river feeder fishing—including catfish, barbel and carp—would not be a problem. Every specification is based on the demands of river feeder fishing.
The handle has a larger end cap that resists wear and provides comfortable support during hard fights. The handle has a finely textured shrink coating that is easy to clean and less prone to damage.
The reel seat is ergonomic, resists groundbait and dirt build-up, and holds the reel very securely. The rod uses the reinforced steel-frame SIC guides proven on our river models. They have double feet and are designed to resist damage if the rod falls onto rocky ground.
The quiver tips have large line guides, allowing thicker line to be used. They are also less likely to freeze in winter or become blocked by poplar fluff.
The HM carbon blank has a very crisp action while remaining exceptionally light. It allows oversized leads and feeder baskets to be cast long distances.
